How to download the Mpesa Digital Certificate

1. When you apply for the Mpesa Certificate, return to the certificate request website https://vmtke.ca.vodafone.com/certsrv after a day or two. Check the issue status of the certificate.
2. Fill in the login details to access the Certificate Authority website.
3. Send a blank email to M-PESACertpassword@safaricom.co.ke  
4. You will receive an email, with a username and password.
5. Send a blank email to M-PESACertpassword@safaricom.co.ke  In response, you will receive an email with a username and password.
6. After you log in, you'll access the home page for the Managed Services, Vodafone MT Certificate Authority.
7. Under the heading Check Existing Request, click View the status of a pending certificate request.
8. A web page with the issued certificate will open. If the certificate is not issued, you will see the message reading Certificate Pending.
9. Then, an option to install the certificate will be issued. Click on the link Install this Certificate.
10. A following Web Access Confirmation warning asking you to confirm the operation will appear. Click 0n Yes.
11. Make a click on Install this  CA  certificate. It will prompt you to open or save the file. Choose Open.
12. Once open, select Install this certificate.
13. On the next window, click on Next.
14. Click on Place all certificates in the following store. Also, click on Browse and then select Trusted Root Certification Authorities. The moment you’re done, click on Next.
15. Click Finish on the next window.
16. You will then get a prompt asking you if you are sure you want to install the certificate. Click on Yes.

Installing the Certificate

When the file is imported, the next and final step is to install it.

1. What you'll do is go back to the Mpesa Certificate request website and click on Install the certificate.
2. You will receive a message confirming the installation of the certificate.
3. Finally, you are able to log in to the Mpesa organization portal https://org.ke.m-pesa.com. Use the username and password as credentials.
