Jumia Kenya is an e-commerce platform that provides innovative, convenient, and affordable online goods and services to customers. Arguably the biggest event of the year, Jumia Kenya engaged Digital Tailor Agency to create a Black Friday campaign that will encourage shoppers to buy from their application to experience mind-blowing deals.
Challenge
Create a 360⁰ digital marketing campaign that will integrate all social media channels to drive traffic to the Jumia app, and encourage online buyers to purchase from the platform and experience great deals. The main attraction of this campaign was the fact that they were selling5 cows at Kshs.100 throughout the month of November.
Solution
Utilize social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter& Instagram to create awareness for the Black Friday offers through paid ads. Our strategy also involved creating and implementing Google Search Ads and banner ads in order to create maximum visibility for the campaign.
Results
Jumia Kenya was able to record 30% growth in the value of goods sold with a significant number of consumers downloading their app. Jumia was also able to outbid its main competitor Kilimall which cemented its position as the number one online retailer in the country.
